"I financially support and volunteer at the Free Clinic in order to give back to the community. I am a retired lab technologist and appreciate this opportunity. As a retiree, I have fewer responsibilities and more resources at this time to support worthy causes. The Free Clinic is needed and I’m glad to help."

“I am a retired RN who volunteers at the Dr. G.F. Community Free Clinic. The clinic is closed during the COVID-19 pandemic but will reopen as soon as it is safe. We provide free medical care and prescription drugs to adults without health insurance. Our patients are very appreciative of the services we provide. As a nurse, it is very satisfying going to work with these patients and knowing that they are getting the necessary care they need to maintain a healthy life. The clinic is staffed by all volunteers and operates on donations from the community. Any support is welcome!”

“When I was thinking of retiring from UHS, I was working for some volunteer job that would help the poor and I was offered a volunteer job at the free clinic. It was just opening and they needed someone with a medical records background. I started the first night it opened 23 years ago. It has been very rewarding. I have been a proud donor for quite a few years now, and I am the office manager.”

The Dr. Fattal Community Free Clinic provides care to uninsured patients. The patients receive compassionate care from the clerical staff, nurses, medical students, residents, attending physicians and pharmacy staff. The clinic provides medical students and residents the opportunity to provide primary care to patients. The patient visits provide a great learning and teaching experience for both clinic staff and patients. The patients are taught some basics about their medical problems, their medications and healthy lifestyle choices. The medical students and residents raise many questions about patient care including diagnosis, treatment and follow up care. These questions provide both great teaching and learning experience for the entire medical team and pharmacy staff which is on site.
I personally enjoy working at the clinic because of the appreciation the patients express, the dedication of the staff and my interaction with medical students and residents.

The Dr. Garbed A. Fatal Community Free Clinic is a very valuable clinic for our area’s uninsured adult population. I am always impressed with our appreciative patients and the generous time donated by our volunteers to provide service. The kindness shown and the dedication to the patients by the wonderful volunteers and staff is quite something to observe.
I believe there is excellence at our Fattal Community Free Clinic every clinic night we are open. We all do our best to take care of our community members that need health care but cannot afford it. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to have worked with such a fine group of people who I hold in very high esteem. I truly receive so much satisfaction and joy helping uninsured patients that receive health care and necessary medications. Without the Clinic, our patients would have to go without the life-sustaining meds and end up at the ER.
Please open your heart and be generous helping the uninsured by becoming an annual donor to the Fattal Community Free Clinic. Every amount helps from $25 a year to $25,000 a year. Thank you very much for your generosity and kindness.

“I am one of the pharmacists at the Dr. Garabed Fattal Free Clinic. I have always felt that we were so fortunate to have such a fantastic resource available in our community, providing free health care, testing, and medications for those who need it, and I am so grateful to be a part of it. For those who are in need of the medical services, I encourage you to take advantage of the Garabed Fattal Clinic, as we are fully staffed with doctors, volunteers and nurses, all happy and eager to help. For those looking for a way to support our community, I can’t encourage you enough to consider a donation to the clinic, so that we can continue to help those who need it most. Thank you!”
